It was a fantastic year for the Africa Albida Tourism team, and although all the staff did a great job in 2015, it’s important to single out those special employees who have made a significant impact on the team and guests at the lodges.
Below are the outstanding employees of 2015.
Phillip Kaphaizi: Back of House winner, Worker of the Year
Phillip has worked well consistently, and has embraced his new position as an assistant to the book-keeper, showing great team work, dedication and professionalism and accuracy. He has met monthly deadlines and taken initiatives wherever necessary. He is certainly an employee to watch out for and will go far in the accounting field.
Daniel Mhlanga: Manager of the Year
Daniel is a team player and very dedicated to his work, and his department results and awards also speak for him. He is a very keen-to-learn leader, always going out of his way to acquire new skills. Daniel is a great employee with excellent management skills.
Carrie Carlsson: Runner-up, Manager of the Year
Carrie is diligent with her work and has shown great leadership skills in the absence of the financial controller.
Trainos Maroveke: Supervisor of the Year
Trainos one of the hardest workers produced by AAT’s multi-skilling program. He is visible both at stores and laundry departments, and is not scared of getting his hands dirty when dealing with all sorts of issues. His off-time is always determined by his workload, not by the time of the day. Tranos makes it a point to finish before he goes home, and he has a wonderful serving attitude.
John Mugadza: Front of house. Worker of the Month
John is always available when needed the most. He has averted possible bill write-offs at the reception due to guests going without checking out. All the cleanliness at Front Office is attributed to his initiatives. John has been with AAT since November 1994.
